The food is spectacular. The dumpling platter is a family favorite. The service is always warm and friendly.

Came for dinner after my flight back home, trying to find somewhere dog friendly since my husband brought my dog to greet me from the airport. There's ample dining space on the patio where your canine companion can relax while you have dinner or drinks. The food was good, all dumplings were well made and flavorful, my husband loved the steak, but the green beans were definitely a fan favorite here. Service was wonderful, everyone was so friendly and checked in regularly to make sure everything was good.

It's been awhile since my last visit to Khan's Cave in Clairmont Mesa. Always good experience. Ended up getting some bites here and couple martinis (happy hour) before heading off to see Margaret Cho live show down the street. Had time not been an issue, we would have sat in the dining area, but with a wait time of approximately 30-40 minutes. We sat in a comfy booth at the bar area instead and it was perfect. It was also a little louder due to sports on TVs and loud talking people that surrounded the bar. We were in and out anyway. We enjoyed our gyozas, chicken wraps and drinks. Service was slower than expected. Gyozas arrived 20 minutes after the chicken wraps. It was also not served hot. It was returned and came back renewed in no time. Condiments also came out later. Our main server was too busy, in and out kitchen, also attending to dining area. He wasn't a bad server, he was just hard to get a hold of for the little things we needed. He was polite and friendly. Khan's Cave tonight was a full house. This restaurant has been a an all time favorite tavern for my companions last night. With its trendy, bold and classic oriental interior coupled with delicious foods and drinks, one can easily become a fan favorite of this place too. Hands down. Recommend

We ate here yesterday for the 1st time. Came highly recommended by our neighbor. Got there for a late lunch, seated immediately. Staff was attentive and personable. Food was very good. Got the Garlic Nan Bruschetta , which is not really Bruschetta , but was good for what it was. I had the Mongolian beef and my wife had the honey walnut shrimp. Many Mongolian Beef dishes can be too salty, but this was really dialed in and the meat was very tender. I cleared my plate with ease. My wife really liked the shrimp dish as well. They were tender and very tasty. We were exited that they have a dog friendly patio, so we will be back soon with the pup.

Have the check this place out... Always ask to sit in server Tai's section. He's very attentive, awesome server and gives great recommendations. The Happy Hour is great as well 3-7pm and 3pm-close on Wednesday's. 5

Another successful outing to Khans. They have a lot of fusion and traditional dishes with the common thread of comfort. Craft cocktails complement the meal perfectly, we had the raspberry LI iced tea and the ginger old fashioned. Entrees were also very good with the pan seared tuna salad was everything you want from that dish. The rest of the party ate traditional style crispy chicken and vegetables. Khans is khans for ambience. It is very niche looking 70's to eighties style Asian restaurant. The service was attentive and on point. This is a feel good, doggy bag take away place with very tasty well constructed meals.

Friday night dinner after work. Came just in time to catch the tail end of HH which ends at 7pm. Feels like a small neighborhood spot with a lot of regular locals. Service was excellent. Food came out quickly and staff checked on us regularly. The food was hit and miss. Some dishes were amazing 10/10 and others were disappointing. 1. Garlic sole filet - light but flavorful, big portion, fish was tender and lightly breaded 10/10 2. Ginger glazed shrimp basket - crispy with great flavor! 10/10 3. Sweet and sour wings - crispy, a little too much breading, good flavor 7/10 4. Chicken lettuce wraps - small portion, a little salty 5/10 5. Duck sliders - 3 Bao buns with a small piece of chewy duck 3/10 We would come again as there are many menu options to try and for their genuine hospitality.
